I wish I was in flickr to favorite this. The gun in the background is wonderful.
Posted by alfr3do at March 7, 2006 10:35 PMimpressive expression!
Like movie clip.
I like everything about this image; the subject, the clothes, the setting - and that gun; reminds me of Dirty Harry.
Posted by garyx at March 8, 2006 03:56 AMThe revolver is looking at you while the guy is killing time. Great shot !
Posted by sistereden at March 8, 2006 08:32 AMOk I want to know this guy. He is a total throw back to the 80's and to me thats ultra cool. From this one shot I have a million ideas on who this person is. Nice work
Posted by Moeview at March 8, 2006 09:22 AMI like this shot, like the wide-angle and the composition
Posted by àsìkò at March 8, 2006 12:22 PMbrilliant portrait.
Posted by twinlens. at March 8, 2006 03:25 PMThis is really one very special and good portrait. Good!
Posted by Kenny at March 8, 2006 03:35 PMA very strong composition, with these two poles : the glam guy and the gun pic.
Posted by Stephane Alaimo at March 8, 2006 04:37 PMLooks like he should be in a band from somewhere like Manchester perhaps.. hehe. Maybe a Smiths cover band.
Great composition with the wide angle lens. The inclusion of the gun back there lends an eerie vibe and balances the photo.. excellent work.
Posted by afraidtosee at March 9, 2006 11:44 AMThis could be that kid in the William Klein image of the child pointing the gun into the camera, ten years older. I also like the timelessness of it -- when is it? Could be yesterday, 1980, 1950. Wonderful.
Posted by Peter at March 10, 2006 03:10 AMFabulous shot. The composition is really effective.
Posted by Chris at March 11, 2006 09:45 AMWhat a strong character! Excellent portrait, eyes looking away give him a detached air, and the background is perfect for him.
Posted by Luisa at March 11, 2006 03:43 PMHoly crap, this is a good photo.
Posted by Brandon Stone at March 11, 2006 11:24 PMAmazing shot, Matt.
Posted by Gareth Lind at March 14, 2006 03:04 PMHey Matt,
Your images of "Billy" and "Tracey" are very fine indeed: beautifully detailed and composed and each capturing a highly expressive moment. Slim's got an unforgettable face, that's sure.
I look forward to more postings from the TF shoot.
