Fabulous shot. There's real personality here, though... I can't quite figure it out. He doesn't seem the type to wear Mardi Gras beads. Then again, if the occasion calls for it, you never know... :)

this is superb - the graininess adds to the atmosphere. there's something quite vulnerable about the subject.

The textures and tones are beautiful, and I like the fact that the outside world is out of focus. Great shot.

Love the tone and grain of this shot. His expression is great too.

His cig stub, cap, and undignified plastic beer cup suggest a beat feeling, while his location, bracelet, and beads give us a non sequitur of jubilation. I cannot for the life of me imagine this man dancing.

Matt,

This is a brilliant shot. Despite it being a "stolen shot," the composition and lighting are perfect. I don't think you could've achieved more perfect, moody lighting if you had lit the spot yourself.

So can you add a little "narrative" about this shot? I'd love to hear the story behind the story on this one.

Again, beautiful work, Matt. You inspire me!
