yeah mun, this is really good.
has a monkish/ "Buddhist" feel.
looks like yer heading North.
Nice shot, distortion of the wide angle lens (or did you do this in "post"?) makes it look like the buildings are reeling in awe of the spectacle. Nice touch to tie in the foreground colour.
Awesome shot of The Gates. The guy in the orange hoodie totally adds to the shot too. I love the warm tones of the picture, even though we all know this is February in NYC.
i've seen a whole heap of photos of the gates on a whole heap of different bloggers sites.
this is by far the best. a totally different take, well thought out and an appreciation of the scale of the project.
excellent work, you should get this published.
"excellent work, you should get this published. "
he just did get it published,
he published it himself.
Hey Matt, this is a really great shot. I love the expanse of it, and am a sucker for orange (er, "saffron"). Are you on a world tour right now? lol...you seem to be everywhere these days - Mardi Gras, New York...
wow. you should sell a print of this. if so i would buy it. absolutely beautiful.
Nice shot, Matt. One of the best I've seen of The Gates. Shows the size of the project and has a good foreground anchor, unlike a lot of photos that try to capture the expansiveness of the thing.
matt, this is fucking great. the first good gates photo i've seen. your eyes must have popped out of your head when this scene came together. it's perfect.
Really, the title should be "Saffron" :P
These really are the best pictures I've seen of The Gates. They make me sorry I missed them.
