Posted by enda ok at March 10, 2005 08:51 AMI noticed the piano keys on the woodpecker's wing too! I've never seen one of these birds in person. . . this picture is just awesome.
My husband turned me on to your site last night, and I was so mesmerized by your photos I had to look at every single one. Just beautiful. I look forward to checking in every day.
What an amazing capture. It looks like you panned slightly to get the woodpecker in focus while it was flying.
Posted by Alnoor at March 10, 2005 02:56 PMamazing. not only the bird was perfectly captured in movement, but also the idea of precision of its flight through the labirynth of branches of the tree.
Posted by santiago at March 10, 2005 07:06 PMPiano keys....lol
Good eye. I never noticed the first time.
Posted by Kevin at March 11, 2005 10:46 PMOh, its Woody Van Cliburn I see! Imagine all those birders who've wanted to get exactly that shot. What a beauty.
